Unusual Single Stringed Instrument with Slide
Welcome to Misfit: an unusual collection of 18 deeply sampled instruments.
1 Stringed Diddley Bow (4300+ samples) was made from a wooden cigar box, a wooden stick and a single guitar string. A bottle neck was used for the slides to achieve a completely unique sound.
We recorded 1 Stringed Diddley Bow on both slow and fast legato slides, as well as with true vibrato in legato.
Our idea was to go back to the roots of modern music, bringing a rough and tumble tone with the aroma of authentic old-style blues.
