Evolution Roundwound Bass is a vintage electric j -style bass equipped with strings with a round winding for a bright and clear sound permeating a mix.
We have developed a library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of the most respected studios of the staff of Utah. Guy Randle, the owner and sound engineer of this company, used a lot of analogy sound equipment when recording, including an analog NEOTEK console, tube preamples, vintage compressors and other classics. We transmitted the source line of the bass, as well as an enhanced signal that adds a biting attack and increasing the saturation of sound and sustains.
Samples were performed by experienced bassist Bill Kushenberry. Originally from Berbank (California), his musical career began early enough, and during this time he managed to travel around the whole world. For many years, Bill has been engaged in the concert and studio activity of the West, including with groups of The Osmonds and Donny & Marie. He plays on a variety of bass gitars, but it is this bass that remains his personal favorite for more than forty years.
The Evolution Roundwound Bass is based on our Evolution engine, which provides you with a lot of capabilities: a flexible mapping system, tuning the parameters of timbre and playback, as well as a powerful set of effects. The library contains many ready -made stops of classic and modern bass timbres that fit perfectly into the mix.
