Since the late 2010s, guitars with a rubber band, began to multiply in an indecolate-music, even noticeably appearing in pop music. Although people used various approaches throughout history to give the guitars a more muted sound, the concept of using a rubber bridge arose thanks to Ruben Coksu, the master and owner of the Old Style Guitar Shop in Los Angeles, California. Its unique addition of a rubber bridge with taste muffles the guitar sustain, giving notes a pronounced/sensitive attack with a quick, but pure fading.
