Sample library for the Hauptwerk organ emulator

The organ of the city evangelical church of the city of Zöblitz (now – a district of the city of Marienberg in the German federal state of Saxony, until December 30, 2012 was an independent city). Built by the famous organ builder Gottfried Silbermann in 1742.

In 1997, the organ was restored by the company Ruhle Orgelbau (Moritzburg). During the restoration, the original paintwork of the organ facade was restored. The organ has 20 registers, 2 manuals and a pedal. The range of the manuals is 4 octaves (48 keys)*, the pedal keyboard is 2 octaves (24 keys)*.

The organ was recorded and released as a sample library for Hauptwerk by Prospectum in 2013.

*The C-sharp key in the lowest (major) octave is missing on both manuals and the pedal keyboard. When creating the virtual organ, this key was added artificially using samples of neighboring pipes retuned to the desired tone.

A more detailed description of the organ (in English and German) can be called from the program menu: Organ – Show organ information…
