After stripping away the best gear, the most modern studios, the most expensive instruments, and even the best musicians, all that’s left is the soul. This is exactly what we wanted to explore: a human, urban, and unique product.
The Misfit Concertina is a superb instrument (1800 samples) for the aspiring hobo. The Concertina has a ton of options, including a simple sustain, staccato, crescendo, and sforzando. We also recorded this instrument from both the left and right sides, so you get a natural stereo perspective. Plus, we added digital and natural tremolo and a bunch of super-cool controls, giving you the full Misfit Concertina experience.
The Concertina is like a retired accordion whose life is full of regrets and stories that are never told: that’s exactly the sound we wanted. Who needs A4 at 440Hz when you have… this?
