Cartago is a Kontakt library based on an extensive collection of vintage, modern, and custom-designed cinematic percussion instruments. Created in collaboration with renowned sound designer Stefano Maccarelli, whose notable works include the Ethera series of vocal libraries, Elements, Kepler, and many others, Cartago offers a rich set of carefully crafted sounds organized into two powerful Kontakt instruments.
Cartago offers a wide selection of both acoustic and designer percussion instruments, from classic orchestral bass drums, timpani, and snare drums to custom Roman timpani and a variety of frame drums. Traditional world instruments are also well represented, including Japanese taiko, Middle Eastern darbukas, and West African djembes, along with rare idiophones like the crotal, tintinnabula, sistrum, and scabellum.
Cartago is structured into two versatile tools: an acoustic percussion sequencer and a suite of designer percussion instruments. Both tools are designed for an intuitive, composer-friendly experience, allowing you to seamlessly create percussion sequences and drum designs that are both creative and effective.
