Vintage synthesizers reimagined. An extensive collection of carefully selected sounds, created from a selection of rare analog synthesizers. From classics like the Juno 60 and Polysix to more unusual models like the Logan String Melody II and Arp Odyssey. Everything is re-sampled using guitar pedals and tape.
Combine and manipulate layers to create your own unique sound, and use the Memories engine to create complex rhythmic underscores. Lost Synth is an exploratory journey where everything sounds enticingly unfamiliar and nothing like you remember.
Matt Peel and Tom Orrell of Nave Recording Studios took on artistic direction for the project. Thanks to Matt’s enviable collection of rare vintage synths and Tom’s very zealous engineering mind, this unique set was created.
Based on one simple brief, they spent countless hours reproducing the sounds of synthesizers created in the 70s and 80s. Including Logan String Melody II, ARP Odyssey, Polysix, Mono/Poly, MS20, Juno 60, RS-09 and Minimoog… changing them up even further by adding tape delays, a selection of signature guitar pedals and reel-to-reel players. What they’ve created is a collection of one-of-a-kind sublime sounds that feel oddly unfamiliar and nothing like you’ve played before.
